FOUNDERS
Sumiko is an experienced swimmer, runner and triathlete who have had many years of racing experience, and in many occasions, represented Singapore in the areas of marathons and triathlons. She also held the role of MOE PE Subject Head in primary schools.
Sumiko is a NROC NCAP certified Level 2 Swimming Instructor who is able to coach and certify swimmers for their Swimsafer 2.0 assessments under Singapore Sports Council’s (SportsSG) recognised certifications.
Apart from being a certified Swimming Instructor Trainer of SSI – trains and develops new swim instructors, she also possess the Singapore Swimming Proficiency Award, Aust Swim Teacher and Singapore Swimming Teachers Associations certifications.
Outside the field of swimming, Sumiko is a SG-Coach Triathlon Level 1 coach, FISAF Aqua Aerobics Certified Instructor as well as an Aqua Tabata Trainer.
Sean was the ex-captain of the Temasek Waterpolo team during his polytechnic days. He led his team to numerous competitions and had also competed in Inter-club waterpolo competitions under Bedok waterpolo team.
As an avid swimmer and waterpolo player, Sean transformed his interest in water sports to coaching swimming.
He is a NROC NCAP Level 2 Swimming instructor, SwimSafer instructor/assessor and is also certified as a SSI Swimming Instructor’s Trainer.
With 16 to 18 years of coaching experience from both founders Sumiko and Sean, they started Sttitude Swim School to welcome students of any level to assist them on this journey to learn a new life skill.
They are known in the swimming industry to be able to implement non-conventional ways to inject fun into learning, to help water phobic students gain confidence in a surprisingly short span of time.
